Like many developers I know, I believe in the iPad.
I believe that’s going to be a great platform for some kinds of uses. Not everyday coding in XCode or Coda, not editing text with Latex, TextMate or another powerful text editor. No, a more casual kind of use.
So I have a project I want to [...]

I came accross different stock resources for iPhone icons that I used and found useful. Some of them are very easy to find, some are harder. Hoping it will interest somebody else than me.
Glyphish is probably your first stop. Joesph Wain did a very nice job of creating high quality icons for different uses that [...]
On trick I don’t remember how to do each time, and I have to search my mail archive for is: how to add a preview image to the .ipa when you make an AdHoc Dstribution.
So I drag the app to iTunes, then back out.
Then on the command line:
zip -u PhotoGeo.ipa iTunesArtwork
where iTunesArtwork is a 512×512 [...]

Shaun Austin just made an interesting comment today on Twitter. I cannot comment that this is true, but I certainly hope it is. Because having to wait one week for an update sucks and having to wait one month for a first release does suck too.
Of course, you know about that old trick that iPhone [...]

I was lucky enough to be accepted to make a presentation last monday, november 23rd in Nivelles.
My presentation was made using Viewfinder, the great app from ConnectedFlow. That really added content and quality to my presentation, as I decided to go the new way : no content on slides, only ideas. But the bad part [...]

If you want to mix your app’s sounds with the iPod music in Os 3.0, you probably already know you should use an audiosession category to do so.
But with that setting, the volume level of your app and the iPod are paired. If you want to lower the volume of the iPod to give more [...]

Or : Do you own more than one iphone/iPod in your family?
Between my wife, my son and I, we have 6 different devices (I have a lot, because of tests). If you have an iPhone, you want your wife/husband to have one too, but you don’t want to pay twice for apps, so you easily [...]

It’s no secret, I’m working on updates to 321run. In next big new update, I wish to make the app more accessible, so that even the visually impaired can use it, even if they need some help to run (I guess they run with other people in that case).
Following Martin Pilkington’s pledge to make all [...]
